Holiday Magic at River Oaks District

The holiday season is in full swing, y’all, which makes me super stoked.  I love the lights and the colors and the music and the mood and the FOOD.  That’s why I was so excited when my family and I got to kick off our holidays with some family festivities at the River Oaks District in Houston.

First of all, if you haven’t been yet, GO.  This place is so fabulous with nearly 60 amazing designer shops, multiple restaurants and Instagram-worthy scenery at every turn.  Plus, their holiday lighting is gorgeous and is sure to put you in full Christmas-y mode as soon as you arrive.img_6305img_6312

I surprised my princess-obsessed daughter with the horse drawn carriage ride that The District has available all season long, and she absolutely loved it.  We also got to decorate an ornament together, and the kids played with some fun oversized blocks and games.  Complimentary carriage rides are available Wednesday, Friday – Saturday, 4pm-7pm and Sunday, 3pm-6pm with tips collected and donated to the Children’s Assessment Center.  There are also some holiday concerts lined up throughout the month of December.  Visit their website for details.img_6444img_6313img_6323

River Oaks District is a must for you if you’re looking for a beautiful, clean and festive place to spend some time with your loved ones this holiday season.  It’s not your average shopping center, guys.  It’s gorgeous and picturesque and very chill.  You’ll love it.  And while you’re there, maybe you should just go ahead and splurge on a little gift for yourself.  😉
